My wife Hanna, sister-in-law Emma, and friend Tony Robinson were gracious early readers. Their insightful suggestions were pivotal in shaping it into the story it is today.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to the community of Whitehorse of the Yukon Territory, whose charm, wit, and hospitality have always kept me coming back for more. Special gratitude goes to Denise and Vernon, whose generosity and knowledge of the local flora, fauna, terrain, trails, and river enriched my experience beyond measure. Their enthusiastic support (coupled with Hanna paying my monthly credit card bills) allowed me to immerse myself in the writing process throughout a memorable summer in Canada’s Wilderness City.

My nephew Brandon of TrueNorthGalleria created some website images, images for the cover, was a cold blooded comma-zombie-killer, and proposed a plethora of ideas from outer space.

Kaitlin S (@ksclafani) and Julie G (@jgolden268) were incredibly generous and patient (Fiverr) editors. They combined constructive criticism with extensive detailed suggestions for improving the manuscript. Kaitlin polished tirelessly. Julie wielded an axe. Had I accepted more of their suggestions, we could have saved the cat and tamed the vixen.

Wael Wafik of WinningSEM created the inside images, the book cover, and the website.

Finally, I thank Hanna, my love, for her balanced insight, tireless editing, unfailing patience, and supreme generosity in allowing me to write this book.
